Dear Friends:
May God give you peace! On behalf of the Catholic schools, I am happy to welcome you to our website. Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford have a wonderful tradition of educating children and youth in three Connecticut counties - Hartford, Litchfield, and New Haven.
Today, there are sixty-seven Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford serving more than 17,000 students from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade in rural, urban, and suburban locations. Our diverse student population provides for a more socioeconomic, cultural, religious, and ethnic balance within the school communities.
We are committed to a vision that provides students with educational excellence in a context of faith in Jesus Christ. Our educators are cultivating an integrated, innovativeand rigorous curriculum that promotes life-long learning and fosters development of the whole person. We expect our students to have a global perspective with an emphasis on social justice, community and service that will equip them to be leaders who will fashion a more humane and just world. When we can educate, form, evangelize, and serve; when we can find truth in faith and law; when peace, justice, forgiveness and redemption are realized in our communities we experience Church at its best.
On this website you can learn more about the mission of Catholic school education and our efforts to provide students with an education for a lifetime.
